a [short statement] is a London based brand, focused on refined mesh shorts made 100% from Recycled Plastics.

Using RPET mesh which reduces waste energy by up to 70% and uses 85% less water, without compromising on the quality, shape or feel.

We elevated & gave some thought to how an iconic product could be that little bit better. Adding a discreet zip in the pocket was just one of the new features to uplift these classic shorts.

Our designs are mainly influenced by the 90’s basketball era. The prints are a reflection of the culture and rhythm of what we see in London today. All designs are limited and subject to availability. With the intention you wear out of choice, not just comfort.

We are proud to say that our shorts are designed and manufactured right here in the London. Made in Tottenham, with the final touches happening in East Ham.

MY ROLE

I was approached with the idea of “maybe basketball shorts with fun prints.” I then took it upon myself to work out if this idea had any legs. I needed to define what made it a desirable product and what the market needed if at all. Once product and ‘WHY’ was established I started on the business plan and forecasting. Doing heavy research into how to make this product better for both the environment and consumer. This led to a full 360 approach to building this business and brand, with the intention to get it ready to launch and then pass it back to investors. My Role was across the board and as with any start up 24/7, with the below areas being definitive in my time on this build.
